Christmas Cupcakes

These are cupcakes I made for Christmas. I piped a tree on each cupcake so that the kids can decorate them with sprinkles and confectionary.

The cakes are plain sponge and the trees are buttercream icing.

Tour De France 2009 Cupcakes

These are Tour de France 2009 cupcakes, made for a party celebrating the end of the Tour.

They are plain sponge topped with yellow buttercream icing and Tour de France winner jerseys. Wordings on the jerseys are written using edible ink.

Pastel cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for a playgroup's summer picnic.

They are plain sponge topped with lilac buttercream icing and a piece of pastel coloured marshmallows.

Good to keep things simple.

Bees and Hunny

Hannah had a second birthday party on 15 May 2009 and this time her mom requested for cupcakes. As her theme is Winnie the Pooh, I thought it'd be nice to have bees, hunny and flowers (rather than the actual Pooh characters).

The cupcakes are plain vanilla sponge, topped with strawberry jam and a swirl of buttercream icing.

The decorations are made of marzipan and fondant icing.

Farewell Cupcakes

I baked this for MC, CY and Keira's farewell party on 21 March 2009.

The cupcakes are chocolate sponge with strawberry jam filling, and topped with buttercream (chocolate or vanilla) icing and decorated with fondant icing, mini Smarties or chocolate rice.
